To Trust You

To trust you. . .
would mean to forget
everythings thats happened
which isn't the easiest thing to do

It doesn't start
when we're together
or when i'm simply in your arms
it's when we're not
that doubts
begin to course through my mind

All these questions of
"what if?"
are driving me insane
this curiosity is even more fueled
by the fact that you've cheated on one
in the past
keep saying that you'd never do that to ME
but why will i be different from the rest

It just helps so much
that you'd had four
and here i sit, with the innocence
of a virgin

Knowing that
I think you want it even more
but i have this constant fear
if i open up
toss away my shyness
and do something I might regret
you'll end...
screwing me over
and then moving on
with no explanation of why

See i didn't used to be like this
but it only took a few people
to put this shield up
now i really dont know

should i trust?
